How does Scaffold work?

Scaffold is a component based templating system for building Canvas courses and pages. Quickly build up your pages from predefined components that align to your organisations visual identity.

These Scaffold components can be custom built and designed or you can utilise our extensive array of general components. These components are made up of JavaScript (JS), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and HTML that provides Canvas users with dynamic and consistent course layouts.

For course designers and teachers, Scaffold is available when you edit a page in Canvas. It interacts with the standard Canvas Rich Content Editor (RCE) and provides additional functionality that dramatically speeds up course development time.

For advanced teaching and learning teams, Scaffold comes with an administration area, within templates and components can be created, updated and managed.
